SEEC Awards Princess Nourah University for Energy Consumption Excellence in 2022

SEEC has awarded Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University the Excellence Award for Energy Consumption Improvement for the year 2022, with a performance rate of 100%. The university was honored during a ceremony organized by SEEC, attended by representatives of distinguished government entities in the field of energy consumption improvement.

The recognition of the university comes as a result of its efforts in adopting innovative and sustainable practices to preserve the environment and improve energy consumption on campus. These efforts included the installation of high-efficiency LED lighting systems, improving the ventilation and cooling system, installing motion sensors for outdoor lights, and utilizing renewable energy sources such as solar power.

The award is divided into three categories:

• The first category includes government entities that achieved a 100% compliance rate and achieved energy consumption savings.


• The second category includes entities that achieved 85% or more compliance and achieved energy consumption savings.


• The third category includes entities that recorded 85% compliance without achieving any savings in consumption.

This award underscores SEEC's commitment to recognizing and encouraging government entities to adopt best practices in improving energy consumption, in line with the Kingdom's vision to achieve energy sustainability and preserve natural resources
