SEEC Participates in the Implementation of Annual Fees for Vehicle Licenses Based on Fuel Efficiency

The implementation of the annual fee for issuing and renewing vehicle licenses based on fuel efficiency has begun. The first phase of this initiative applies to new light vehicles for the year 2024
. Several government entities are involved in this initiative, including the Ministry of Commerce, the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, the General Directorate of Traffic, the National Information Center, and SEEC.
The annual fee is divided into five levels according to the vehicle's fuel consumption, with no fee imposed on vehicles with low fuel consumption.
This initiative aims to encourage the use of fuel-efficient vehicles and reduce reliance on vehicles with high fuel consumption. This, in turn, helps promote environmental preservation and decrease harmful emissions. The participation of SEEC reflects its on-going efforts to improve energy efficiency across all sectors
